This family had been waiting a really long time for this little guy to arrive. And he is absolutely perfect! I was so excited when mom and dad asked me to capture these moments at home with the new baby. Because honestly, you can’t beat the smell of a sweet baby head. Unfortunately, big brother was feeling a little under the weather. So we had to be a little more creative in our posing. Hoping it didn’t look like he disliked this new member of the family. Haha! Because he was actually very interested in everything going on. I just loved that little fuzz of hair on top. Such a little sweetie! He’s probably walking by now, it has taken me so long to post these photos. But you know…life happens.

Still time to book your summer family photos. Can’t wait to hear from you!

I can hardly believe it has been 13 years since I decided to start embark on this adventure!! I have met soooo many amazing people over the years. As I looked back over some of my photos from the past…it’s honestly CRAZY to think that some of those wee babies are now teenagers too!! Thanks guys!! You make this a really fun job.

Let me know if you see yourself!! And as always – if you are looking to capture your family, child or special event – let me know! info@k-photo.ca

Hard to imagine it was 11 years ago that I made the choice to stay home, make my own hours, and do what I love. This anniversary is a bit of a weird one. But we will be out and about soon enough capturing your family memories. Until then…stay safe.

My camera misses your smiling faces.

Holy moly!! I had to check my calendar twice!! Could it really be TEN YEARS since K Photo and Design was born?!?! So many amazing families I have met, and stories I have heard. I have to admit…I do feel a little nostalgic when I look back at some of these photos from the past. From my first paying customer (well, his mom paid the bill…haha!) – to my most recent family that I have met up with every year for the last 4-5 years or so.

So in honor of this SPECIAL occasion….please, take the time to go through some of your old photos that maybe you didn’t get a chance to print at the time. And I will send them off to be professionally printed for a wicked discounted price!! (50% off any desk print up to 8×10, and 25% off any wall portrait sized 11×14-20×24.)

I am a firm believer in printing your memories. With all the advanced changes in technology…there is no telling when the media you choose to store your images will become obsolete. Or just plain fail you. #printwhatyouwanttopreserve

Images must be taken by K Photo and Design between 2009 and April 1st, 2019. If you can provide the image number, that would be great. If not, we’ll figure it out. Discount will be made from my 2017 prices. Please note: Your chosen images were put in storage. The images you did not order were purged. This offer expires: May 30th, 2019

2018 had many highlights. First off…we added 2 kittens to our family. I had carpal tunnel surgery on my dominant hand. Making a complete set of working hands! Haha! My daughter donated 14 inches of hair. My son made honor roll. My husband joined a band. And let’s not forget about that tornado!! Still in shock over that. And of course…all of the amazing returning families and new friends my camera had the pleasure of photographing this past year. Cheers, guys!!

Welcoming 2019 with open arms!! If you wish to keep up with what’s happening please follow along on Facebook or Twitter. Or of course…send me an old fashioned email.

Or a boxing day, in this case. Regardless….I just wanted to share a few fun holiday photos. You will notice there is no baking photos. I’m still working on getting that done. Perhaps by New Years!

With being busy and so much going on…I come to look forward to our Christmas cockatail. This year – Christmosas. DE-LISH!!
Every year we try to add a new ornament to the tree. This year because of our kitties – everything was non-breakable. This super sparkly pineapple is my fave!
I won’t deny….our babies were spoiled a bit this Christmas. TOYS EVERYWHERE!! But this troublemaker will play with ANYTHING. Including the ornaments on the tree.
And this little one loves to hide all her toys under the tree skirt. Oh, and pencils too! She got into her sister’s stocking early Christmas morning….pulled everything out…and then tried to HIDE the stocking on her!! Haha! So funny!!
You can’t get through the holidays without some good music. And this was an amazing find this year. A lot of faves on this album!
And while you’re at it….you might as well SMELL like Christmas!! I am a Bath and Body Works fanatic. And this smell is sooooooo good.
We decided to write daily holiday movie/TV quotes on our chalkboard this year. It was fun coming up with them….and also guessing where the quotes are from. #TheGrinch

I know I’m running a bit behind – this is nothing new. But wishing you all a GREAT holiday season!! I hope to meet up with you in the New Year!!

This little guy had thee SWEETEST little face!!  I just adored him!!  He did like to rule his own portrait session though.  He was content to have his photo taken for a little bit.  But preferred snack-time.  Haha!  But honestly….that little face!!  Can you BE any cuter?

Now booking for 2019! Please contact me if you are interested in setting something up in the new year.  But of course, always time to squeeze in a last minute newborn before Christmas.

That hair! Those cheeks!! I absolutely fell in love with this little guy.  The family wanted a keepsake of their baby boys one month birthday.  So that’s just what we did.  I have to admit, you never know how things will go when photographing an older newborn.  But this little guy gave us a bit of a fuss to begin with…but then totally passed out for the duration of his 1 month birthday shoot.  I have no idea how the rest of the day went.  He probably kept Mom and Dad quite busy.  Haha!  And let’s not forget how helpful his big sister was!  She could definitely tell great stories. I love that age where they just tell it like it is.  No filter. Anyways, we were ALSO lucky enough to involve Grandma and Grandpa in the photo session.  Always important to capture those multi-generations.  I had a little trouble choosing some favourites to share.  Did I mention how adorable his little face is??

Now booking outdoor fall family photos and small events. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you’d like to set up a consultation or have any questions.  And remember, follow along on Facebook and Twitter or sign up for the mailing list www.k-photo.ca to hear all announcements K Photo and Design.

Oh! I’m sorry…did you not hear me?  K Photo and Design is having a MEGA PRINT SALE!!  If you have ever regretted not ordering that desk print or wall portrait – NOW is the time!! 50 percent off!!  50% – that’s HALF PRICE!

Please don’t let your images collect dust on your CD/USB.  And don’t wait too long – this offer is only good until August 31st, 2018.  Please contact for full details: info@k-photo.ca  Be sure to sign up for the mailing list on my website if you would like to be first to know about the annual mini sessions.  Now booking new portrait sessions/small events for early Fall.

When I was contacted to join this family for ANOTHER newborn session…I was beyond excited!!  Baby number 3!  AND another boy!!  They definitely know how to have adorable baby boys, why stop at two?  I was surprised when I met this little guy though.  He looked SO much like his older brothers….but a blondie!!  Such a little sweetheart.  And big brothers were so pleased to help out.  Well, okay – middle bro was happy to help in very short bursts.  Haha!  But it was all in good fun.  I did manage utilize some of my new little crochet props.  I felt the diaper cover and little monkey turned out quite nice.  Anyways, I had trouble narrowing down a few to share…but these are the top 11.  Haha!  One of which is one of my favourite family photos I’ve taken to date.  Aren’t they completely adorable?!?!

Now booking summer 2018.  If you’re looking to set up a newborn, family, children session…or even a small event or baptism – let me know!!  I can send along all the information you need.  info@k-photo.ca  And of course, feel free to follow me on facebook or twitter to keep up with what’s new.
