This family ALWAYS brings me fun things to play with at their portrait sessions. A puppy had joined the family quite recently – and NEEDED to be at this photo shoot. I could not agree more!! Any excuse to get down in the dirt is a good session in my books. We decided she she was so well behaved that this ball of fluff should have her own little portrait session that we squeezed in right at the end. I don’t think she understands the concept of social distancing…haha! My camera was FULL of doggie drool. As you probably know…I am more of a cat person. But this little pooch could sway me in the the other direction. She was just so sweet!! 😛

On these cold days it sure is nice to look back on some warmer times. I am put indoor portrait sessions on a little pause for the time being – but always up for venturing outdoors. The snow can be such a nice backdrop for family photos. Even the furry kind!! Stay safe everyone – and send a message if interested in booking a portrait session: info@k-photo.ca

Or a boxing day, in this case. Regardless….I just wanted to share a few fun holiday photos. You will notice there is no baking photos. I’m still working on getting that done. Perhaps by New Years!

With being busy and so much going on…I come to look forward to our Christmas cockatail. This year – Christmosas. DE-LISH!!
Every year we try to add a new ornament to the tree. This year because of our kitties – everything was non-breakable. This super sparkly pineapple is my fave!
I won’t deny….our babies were spoiled a bit this Christmas. TOYS EVERYWHERE!! But this troublemaker will play with ANYTHING. Including the ornaments on the tree.
And this little one loves to hide all her toys under the tree skirt. Oh, and pencils too! She got into her sister’s stocking early Christmas morning….pulled everything out…and then tried to HIDE the stocking on her!! Haha! So funny!!
You can’t get through the holidays without some good music. And this was an amazing find this year. A lot of faves on this album!
And while you’re at it….you might as well SMELL like Christmas!! I am a Bath and Body Works fanatic. And this smell is sooooooo good.
We decided to write daily holiday movie/TV quotes on our chalkboard this year. It was fun coming up with them….and also guessing where the quotes are from. #TheGrinch

I know I’m running a bit behind – this is nothing new. But wishing you all a GREAT holiday season!! I hope to meet up with you in the New Year!!

We wanted to include this couple’s first baby in their newborn session.  And with how unpredictable animals can be, we thought it be best we do that first.  But what a little pro this doggie was!! She didn’t want to get too close to her baby sister, but was happy to sit beside her – with some space.  And once that was out of the way, this new baby girl just settled in for a nice little nap.

I always check in with parents in regards to specific colours that should be used for wraps or backdrops.  Some have a theme they are going with, or a colour they absolutely HATE.  But when asked if pink was okay – I got the go ahead.  As mom’s wedding dress was even pink!  No complaints from this wee babe – she must have agreed with pink.  Honestly – just look at that sweet little face!!!  Absolutely adorable!!

If you were thinking you missed out on some outdoor winter family photos – guess again.  I think we have another week – or 2 (maybe) that we could set something up, if mother nature cooperates.  And of course, we schedule newborn session all year round.  Newbies are best photographed when they are brand new.  Generally within the first two weeks.  Most book their sessions while they are still pregnant.  Please contact me for more info: info@k-photo.ca
