I was completely shocked! And WRONG! Sometimes I have a mild feeling as to whether a couple may be having a boy or girl, but I had such a STRONG feeling this little one would be a boy. And in this day and age, MOST people will find out ahead of time. So it’s unique to have to wait the whole 9 months to find out if you’re painting a room pink or blue. When mom announced they had a girl, I almost didn’t believe them. Check out this bump, does that not look like a boy hidden away in there??
If my job looks easy, it seriously was this day. This gal was the sweetest little thing. She was so sleepy and happy the whole time. I mean, check out that smile! Have you ever seen such a big grin?? I could go on and on about how adorable she was, but I’d rather SHOW you.

Fall mini session September 30th, 2012!! With this special you get a 30 minute outdoor session at a local Ottawa park (TBA), 1 digital image on CD to print Christmas cards/gifts, etc., approximately 10 images to view in an online gallery, and then 10% off your additional portraits!! $85 Session fee must be paid to hold your spot. First come, first serve basis. Rain date scheduled for October 13th – but let’s hope we don’t need it!!

You may see a trend. I seem to fall in love with ALL my babies…but what’s not to love?? This little one was no exception. At only 4 months old, her expressions and big dark eyes just make your heart melt! And yes, she’s got mom and dad wrapped around her little finger of course.

Well…we survived the first days of school! Yay!
My big guy was excited to go back and see all his friends again. Going into Grade 4, he’s in a different part of the school with a different part of the yard to play (or hang out) in. He has many teachers, and transfers from class to class at times. He definitely feels like he owns the school now!
And my baby girl has started Junior Kindergarten. I can hardly believe it! But we survived the first day – BOTH of us. No tears at all. (Which was good…because if she would have started, it would have been all downhill from there.) She was very brave and walked into that classroom with her head held high, grabbed the teachers hand and went to put her stuff away. Her stories of the day were so funny. And BOTH of them were talking my ear off on the way home! 
It’s always a little bittersweet to see summer end and school start up again. I hope all you parents have survived like me!!
