It’s been so drab the last few weeks – I thought a little colour would be nice.  And what a MASSIVE amount of colour we managed to find this past fall.  Trees were at the point of losing their colour…but this one AMAZING yellow tree hung on just for us.  The girls just loved hiding behind the big leaves.  After a heavy rainfall – the ground was so wet, it definitely kept mom and dad busy trying to keep the kids clean!!  I didn’t do so well myself.  I think I had mud and water up to my knees!  Haha!  But worth it in the end.  I just loved their little ladybug coats.  Can you get any cuter than that? 🙂

Annual mini sessions are a GREAT way to keep your family photos current.  If you would like to be put on the mailing list for the fall of 2017, please let me know!  info@k-photo.ca  I’d love to hear from you!  🙂

So fun to see a family year after year…and in this case, every second year. Haha!  A lot has changed since 2014!  (And definitely since 2012!!)  This little guy, still full of energy – but the stories he can tell.  What a funny guy!!  We picked the perfect day for photos though.  After a cold spell, it was nice that it had warmed up a bit.  We walked around for a few different locations at the Arboretum.  But when I told this little guy we were going to go on an adventure through the forest – you should have seen his eyes sparkle!  He started in on this story about his favourite show, Ranger Rob.  We hiked up this little trail, and he was as happy as anything guiding us along.  Such a fun bunch!! Super excited to meet up with these guys again.  ALWAYS a fun time.  Even if it was a tad on the cold side – the snow made for a WONDERFUL backdrop.  Which is really cool (no pun intended), because mom has decided she would like a series of photos for her wall of her and her son.  One for every season.  This Winter collection will be added to the previous Summer and Fall we had taken a few years ago.  Can’t wait to see them again in the Spring! Haha!

I had sore stomach muscles after this session.  This family was a riot!!  I was dying over lil’ sis’s “poses” she was offering me.  Haha!  At one point she told her mother not to look “crazy” and then proceeded to demonstrate how she should pose.  It was the most unnatural, contorted pose I had ever seen!!  I was dying!!  And of course the rest of the gang kept me going with their jokes and stories.  As long as no one ended up in the water – I knew things were going well.  Haha! I absolutely fell in love with this little cutie’s mop of dark hair.  While hidden under her adorable hat most of the time.  She kept whipping it off to show me!  Then that became a fun game.  “Take my hat off and give it to that crazy lady who keeps giggling at me.”  It has been a while since I have seen this wonderful family.  I can’t believe how much she’s grown since her newbie session.  I’m so happy she’s kept those beautiful blue peepers!! Smile  (And Mom and Dad are pretty cute too!!)

It’s been a few years since I’ve seen these cuties.  But my oh my…how they have changed from their newbie and even their one year sessions!! They were so cute and chatty.  I love hearing kids little stories.  They have such a neat perspective on the world.  And they always keep me laughing!!   Smile

Always a good time when I get together with these guys.  Those kids are growing up WAY too fast!!  Their middle boy was one of my first newborn clients!  And well this time around he talked my ear off!  I loved hearing his little stories about the squirrels and how they’re actually afraid of people.  That’s why they’re always running!  Didn’t you know that??  Haha!  We managed to squeeze in some smiles in between the rain showers.  And the kids kept me going with their jokes.  Seriously amazing to see them grow up and turn into little people with their own personalities.  Winking smile

First snow in 2012, a baby sister, baby on the way, the fam.  Huh….I guess their first baby shoot was so long ago I wasn’t even blogging then.  But take my word for it…he’s pretty darn cute! Smile

I first met this little guy strapped into a bucket seat at a friends baptism…and was SO happy to have a chance to hang out with him again.  Although there was no chance of holding this kid down now! He was walkin’, runnin’ and just plain movin’!!  A bit of a serious guy for me at first…but I just KNEW he had some smiles in there.  And did he ever!!  Open-mouthed smile

As I have mentioned before, I LOVE meeting up with families a second, third, fourth time.  It is so fun to see the kids grow and find out what they have been up to.  This is my second time photographing this family, we originally met back in February when they welcomed their 4th child.  STILL to this date the largest “newborn” I’ve ever photographed (at 11 pounds!!).  It was definitely fun to get outside and let the boys run around for a bit.  (Always stressful for mom – with them all dressed in WHITE shirts…haha, I get it!)  But managing to get them ALL to sit still for a photo, one of those miracles.  The kind I love!  And seriously…if you are going to have FOUR boys – you might as well make ‘em darn cute!!  Winking smile

I don’t know if I feel like it was just this year, but the weather has been completely nuts!  Warm one day, cold the next….oh, and don’t forget the RAIN on practically every single weekend!!  But we lucked out on this particular day – it was beautiful and sunny!  It can always get interesting when you add in a couple of dogs to the mix.  But this family was so awesome, that we had a great time!  I totally fell in love with the little guys big blue eyes.  They were just sparkling in the sun!!
