I can hardly believe it has been 13 years since I decided to start embark on this adventure!! I have met soooo many amazing people over the years. As I looked back over some of my photos from the past…it’s honestly CRAZY to think that some of those wee babies are now teenagers too!! Thanks guys!! You make this a really fun job.

Professionally…not a lot went on this past year. We were nearly entering the Spring season when this pandemic hit hard. Ontario in a full lockdown. Photography was deemed not to be essential. Some planned sessions just didn’t end up happening. And time went on. The kids were schooling from home. We played a lot of games, baked and I learned to cut hair. We ordered music to watch on TV and even attended a drive-in concert. The highlight was renting a cabin in the Kawarthas. It was the perfect time to get away where we would not see anyone! I did manage to hold my annual Fall mini sessions. It was great to see my VIP’s again. Christmas was a little different. But we made it though to 2021!! Here is just a snippet of what my camera saw this past year.

Hard to imagine it was 11 years ago that I made the choice to stay home, make my own hours, and do what I love. This anniversary is a bit of a weird one. But we will be out and about soon enough capturing your family memories. Until then…stay safe.

Holy moly!! I had to check my calendar twice!! Could it really be TEN YEARS since K Photo and Design was born?!?! So many amazing families I have met, and stories I have heard. I have to admit…I do feel a little nostalgic when I look back at some of these photos from the past. From my first paying customer (well, his mom paid the bill…haha!) – to my most recent family that I have met up with every year for the last 4-5 years or so.

2017 brought me many old, and some new friends. Love me some new baby smell!! And also my Fall mini sessions were a big hit! Beautiful weather!! As a bonus, I just love catching up with these people every year. The kids grow so quickly!! And of course, if I can convince my own children to get in front of my camera – I’m winning! OH! And let’s not forget – in 2017 I managed to launch my new website! If anyone knows my technical abilities…this was a HUGE accomplishment! Haha! Hard to believe that 2017 is right around the corner. So I just wanted to look at some of the amazing people I have met, and also reunited with over this past year. I was lucky enough to be invited to capture a baptism and also a 90th birthday party. My fall mini sessions are always a fave. I love catching up with families I haven’t seen in a while. And the kids ALWAYS have amazing stories for me. Haha!

A bit of bad weather was not going to stop this little guy from his day of baptism. This is my SECOND time meeting up with this family. Just last year big sis had her day. Now she is being very helpful in getting her brother ready to go. And what a big help she was! Shoes stayed on!! A few quick photos and off to the church to meet up with family and friends for the ceremony. I loved seeing all the familiar faces – and some new ones as well! And this cutie…SO good throughout the whole thing. He just wanted to touch EVERYTHING!! All I have to say is thank goodness for fake candles!
