Family wall – Ottawa portrait photographer

Nothing is better than being able to enjoy my family photos every day. And I can do this now, because they are FINALLY up on my wall! Merry Christmas to me! I had a hard time choosing my favourites…so I decided to make a little collage of photos.  This is a great idea when you want to display multiple photos or you want to take up more space on your wall without buying that massive wall print.  I have always been one to print out my photos.  It is a great way to “back-up” your memories.  But also nice to see them everyday too!  So please, if you have some old photos on a disc in the bottom of a drawer, dig them out and pick some favourites to put on your wall. You’ll love it!! Open-mouthed smile

Pink hats and big smiles – Ottawa family photographer

I absolutely fell in love with this little cutie’s mop of dark hair.  While hidden under her adorable hat most of the time.  She kept whipping it off to show me!  Then that became a fun game.  “Take my hat off and give it to that crazy lady who keeps giggling at me.”  It has been a while since I have seen this wonderful family.  I can’t believe how much she’s grown since her newbie session.  I’m so happy she’s kept those beautiful blue peepers!! Smile  (And Mom and Dad are pretty cute too!!)

So happy to see this smiley family sign up for my 2nd annual Fall mini sessions.  Can you see where he gets his killer smile from?  I swear, he was one of most smiley little boys I had ever met last year.  Even though he was fighting a bit of a cold, he flashed me some of his brand new teeth anyways.   Open-mouthed smile

Blue – Ottawa baby photographer

Oh man….those baby blues!  Have you ever seen such beautiful blue eyes?

I have to admit, I was slightly nervous with all the warnings as to how MESSY this little guy was.  Mom and Dad planned for 2nd, and 3rd outfits “just in case”.  Even an exact replica of outfit #1 (because it was clearly the favourite.)  But I was pleasantly surprised!  This little guy was so good…although he DID make us work hard for those little grins.  But well worth it in my opinion.  Winking smile

LOVE these guys! – Ottawa family photographer

For me, there’s nothing more fun than meeting up with a repeat client.  I feel like I’ve watched these kiddies grow from little beans to the adorable little munchkins they are now.  (Last time I saw this family.)  This little girl has ALWAYS been a handful, and she did NOT disappoint! While her brother was a bit more reserved, but getting a little smile out of him was the biggest reward.  Seriously – this is a MIRACLE family photo.  Both kids smiling at the same time?  And looking super cute while doing it?  LOVE it!!  Open-mouthed smile

Love for a furry friend – Ottawa family photographer

I was so happy to hear this family wanted to take advantage of my fall mini sessions this year.  It had been a while since I had seen them.  This little guy was about 4 months old when I met him last.  He was cute then, and still amazingly adorable now!  I don’t know that I’ve met a happier kid.  Just look at his smiles!!

Although I did receive some sad news yesterday.  They wanted to include their dog in the session (although at times it is NOT easy to work with animals).  He was sick, and they wanted to make sure he made it into the family photo.  Well, he passed away last week.  But I’m sure glad we managed to capture some really nice photos with him.  He looks to be smiling in most of them.  Smile  He was such a beautiful dog.  And very much a part of the family….he will be missed.

Fall mini session September 30th, 2012!! With this special you get a 30 minute outdoor session at a local Ottawa park (TBA), 1 digital image on CD to print Christmas cards/gifts, etc., approximately 10 images to view in an online gallery, and then 10% off your additional portraits!! Please contact to book your session soon!!

$85 Session fee must be paid to hold your spot. First come, first serve basis. Rain date scheduled for October 13th – but let’s hope we don’t need it!!

Bugs and a Beautiful Family – Ottawa family photographer

Summer has happened and this means I’m getting a little behind in my blogging.  I met up with this family back in June.  Their sweet baby girl had the biggest dark eyes and cutest little smiles.  I just fell in love with her!  And well, boys will be boys of course.  They were VERY interested in picking up all the bugs they could find.  As I got them all together for a family photo I noticed both boys still had bugs in their hands.  (One about to go around mom’s shoulder!)  I quickly had to get that out of the way, as I’m sure mom would not appreciate the extra family member in her portrait.  Aside from the bugs – it was an absolutely beautiful day, and I had an awesome time!  Smile

Family of Six – Ottawa family photographer

What a awesome family I have to share with you today!  I met up with these guys a few weeks ago on a beautifully sunny day.  And everything just kind of unfolded from there.  They were so funny…and oh the conversations that went on!  I did managed to capture some beautiful images; and here are a few I’d like to show off.  Smile
