What can I say about this little cutie? I think the eyes say it all! He was NOT very sleepy…but happy all the same. And sometimes that’s just as good. 
New babies are best photographed when they are brand new. So it’s a good idea to reserve your portrait session while you are still pregnant. I look forward to hearing from you!!

I thought a nice Fall session would warm me up and kick those winter blahs. So here we go!
I met this family during the mini-sessions I did back in the fall. And boy…did they keep me busy. It didn’t help that it was about +15 that day – but I was sweatin’ by the time we were done! I don’t envy mom and dad having to keep up with 3 little ones. That would be MY workout for the day. Haha! All blue-eyed little cuties though. And Mom and Dad were pretty awesome too! 
It’s always a challenge when photographing more than one child at a time, but I always LOVE when I capture such an amazing moment of all three kids together AND happy.
I know it’s to turn cold for a little bit, but then we should hopefully get a little warm weather to get outside again for some winter portraits. I had so much fun with this family! In our pre-planning meeting we were looking at scheduling the session into late November. Which I was a little worried about, because the weather was just so unpredictable. Then mom says to me, “You know, I wouldn’t mind if there was snow.” WELL…we could not have asked for a better day! Turns out, the FIRST snow of the season was on its way. It was mild, and beautiful! Almost like being in a snow globe! And what an amazing backdrop it was for our family photos. 
We took a moment to celebrate Movember too!

This year was definitely a strange one. I was cold in August, and then back to shorts in September. Who woulda thought that still, the END of September we would be wandering around in t-shirts? This couple was super fun to work with. And a definite change from all the children and families I had been photographing earlier.
This first image is by far my favourite. And I knew it the minute I clicked the shutter. They’re so cute!! All the best in your wedding planning!!

I was packing up some of the kids old books just last week and came across one of their little board books about a monkey, called HUG. Well, I guess it was fresh in my mind when I saw this image. I just adore these little munchkins!! And since I’ve made these fall mini sessions an annual thing…Mom and Dad find an excuse for me to see them at LEAST once a year. They’ve changed so much from just last year!

For me, there’s nothing more fun than meeting up with a repeat client. I feel like I’ve watched these kiddies grow from little beans to the adorable little munchkins they are now. (Last time I saw this family.) This little girl has ALWAYS been a handful, and she did NOT disappoint! While her brother was a bit more reserved, but getting a little smile out of him was the biggest reward. Seriously – this is a MIRACLE family photo. Both kids smiling at the same time? And looking super cute while doing it? LOVE it!!

Nothing is funnier than trying to get an active 2.5 year old to sit still for 2 seconds while I snap a photo. And that is what this session turned out to be. But you can get away with anything when you’re this cute. Seriously!

I was so happy to try out a day of mini sessions this fall. Well, having to be at the mercy of the weather was very stressful…and after having to reschedule, we ended up with a cool but beautiful day. It was fun to get together with old clients, and meet new ones – like these guys. They could have easily posed for a GAP commercial. Seriously. Even the little guy was pretty stylin’! And just check out those cheeks!! Nothing cuter than that!!
