Perhaps I’m a bit nosey…but I just love to find out about clients.  Their interests, activities, school, jobs…whatever they want to tell me.  I especially find it fun to find out about my little clients.  WELL….I opened the flood gates when somehow the word “Pokémon” got mentioned.  I’m not sure if this kid took a breath!!  He went on and on about his Pokémon cards, and this one and that one.  My kids were never really into card collecting.  And to be honest, I don’t really get it.  But when I asked him if he had “Pikachu” – it was like we had this weird connection.  I was speaking his language.  Haha!  It was quite funny.  I’m sure he’s was still talking about all his cards in the car on the way home.  As he just didn’t stop!  And this is why I know nothing else about this family – aside from their names…and they are pretty darn cute!  Ha!!  You can see that for yourself though.  Winking smile

Seems like forever since I have seen this amazing family. That sweet little baby is now a rambunctious little boy! I think we all got our exercise for the day.  Haha!  And while it was a little chilly (I guess we needed to run around a bit)…and the leaves didn’t cooperate as we would have liked.  It was sure fun to throw them around at each other!! Here’s a few of my faves to show off today.  Smile

I just love this boy and his crazy mop of hair!!  He has grown so much since our last visit.  Still as busy.  I won’t deny, I had quite the work out.  Haha!  But his personality is so funny!!  His Mom is pretty cute too!  Here are a few of my faves.  Smile

I had sore stomach muscles after this session.  This family was a riot!!  I was dying over lil’ sis’s “poses” she was offering me.  Haha!  At one point she told her mother not to look “crazy” and then proceeded to demonstrate how she should pose.  It was the most unnatural, contorted pose I had ever seen!!  I was dying!!  And of course the rest of the gang kept me going with their jokes and stories.  As long as no one ended up in the water – I knew things were going well.  Haha! Every year for the last few years I’ve set up a day of Fall mini sessions.  It is super fun to meet new families and catch up with some old ones I haven’t seen in a bit.  I have been lucky enough to photograph this family from when their daughter was only a few days old.  So I always look forward to meeting up with them every Fall.  (See last year here.) The kids are so funny.  I just adore their funny stories!!  Haha!  And after ALL this practice of me photographing them.  Big sis decided to help her brother SMILE for me.  Haha!  I swear I should hire her!  Smile

As any photographer that lives in Canada – the days leading up to an outdoor shoot, we closely monitor what the weather is doing.  I was aiming to put our back-up plan in place, but this family was VERY adventurous and ready to head outside as planned anyways!  The fire was blazing inside.  And hot chocolate on the stove.  With the help of some great planning we had various family groupings popping in and out as quick as we could.  And the results were amazing! So happy to be able to celebrate their Aunt’s birthday with them. And always a fun time when I get to jump into a snow bank! Winking smile

I definitely feel ready for some outdoor SPRING photos…but I think mother nature has other plans.  However, it is the perfect time to update your child’s photos with an in-home lifestyle type session.  Please contact me for more details.  Smile

I thought a nice Fall session would warm me up and kick those winter blahs. So here we go!

I met this family during the mini-sessions I did back in the fall.  And boy…did they keep me busy. It didn’t help that it was about +15 that day – but I was sweatin’ by the time we were done! I don’t envy mom and dad having to keep up with 3 little ones. That would be MY workout for the day. Haha! All blue-eyed little cuties though. And Mom and Dad were pretty awesome too! Open-mouthed smile

It’s always a challenge when photographing more than one child at a time, but I always LOVE when I capture such an amazing moment of all three kids together AND happy.

I know it’s to turn cold for a little bit, but then we should hopefully get a little warm weather to get outside again for some winter portraits. If you’re interested in hearing more, please contact me. Oh! And don’t forget…still time to save 15% off of wall portraits!! Offer good until the end of February. Smile

I had so much fun with this family! In our pre-planning meeting we were looking at scheduling the session into late November. Which I was a little worried about, because the weather was just so unpredictable. Then mom says to me, “You know, I wouldn’t mind if there was snow.”  WELL…we could not have asked for a better day! Turns out, the FIRST snow of the season was on its way. It was mild, and beautiful! Almost like being in a snow globe!  And what an amazing backdrop it was for our family photos. Smile

Being in Ottawa, we can get some mild, beautiful winter days. Don’t be afraid to venture outside!! You can get some beautiful results. There’s still time to reserve a winter family session. The groundhog said so! Please contact me for more details. Smile
