It’s a Contest! – Ottawa portrait photographer

The fine print:  Only one entry per person please.  You must “Like” my facebook page AND make a comment on my blog post.  You may use your free session for one newborn, baby, maternity, engagement, family or pet session.  Contest is open to residence of Ottawa and surrounding areas only.  (Unless you are willing to travel into my neck of the woods of course.)  Winnings have no cash value and therefore can not be used towards previous sessions or other products.  Sessions and free portraits must be redeemed in the next 6 months (Offer expires August 15th, 2011).  All other portraits and sessions are available at regular prices and are listed on my website.  Contest closes February 14th at 8pm EST, and winner will be announced on my facebook page.  Good luck to all!!

Welcome to 2011 – Ottawa portrait photographer

Happy New Year everyone!  I’m not doing too bad, posting a New Year’s special on the 4th of January.  ;)

So this is brand new for this year.   It’s a small calendar with 12 months and one image.  Great to use it at home, the office or even a gift for the grandparents!  Each calendar is 5×7 in size, mounted for durability and only $20!  However, for my lucky January and February clients, you will receive one on me.  My little welcome to 2011!  :)

Miracles in 3D – Ottawa maternity + newborn photographer

I’m so excited to have the opportunity to show off my images at the 3D Miracles Ultrasound Clinic in Ottawa.  It’s quite amazing to be able to have photos of your baby before they are even born.  The technology is crazy!  If you’re expecting; and are looking for a great place to find out gender, or just to SEE your little one –  the staff at 3D Miracles is awesome!  Be sure to ask about any maternity or newborn specials I may be offering.  I look forward to hearing from you!!

Anticipation – Ottawa maternity photographer

I had so much fun with these guys!  They were up for anything.  Unsure of what to wear, they had a pile of clothes pressed and ready to go.  When Mr. L pulled out a plaid shirt, my immediate thought was: “No way!”  It would be pattern overload!  But as I partnered it up with Mrs. L’s purple top, I thought it really worked for them.  They’re adorable, in fact!  

I usually do a lot of black and whites when it comes to maternity, but these guys rocked in colour!  So there ya go!  :)

Oh that glow! – Ottawa maternity photographer

Last week I had the pleasure of photographing this expanding family.  You know everyone talks about that pregnancy “glow”?  Well this gal had it!   I had a great time.  Always a challenge when you involve an active 2 year old.  And this little guy was bu-sy!  I wonder what he’s going to think of his baby sister.  Can’t wait for her to arrive!!

A Big Brother in the Making – Ottawa maternity photographer

Meet little man ‘D’ and his expectant mama.  He was so cute, and FULL of energy.  His mama totally had the best little round belly.  It amazes me women that are working on their second child with no war wounds from the first one.  Well, all I can say is that her belly was the roundest most perfect little belly I’ve ever seen.  And only a few more weeks until this little guy’s sister will be arriving.  So I guess they will be blessed with the “Million dollar family”.  Funny, I had never heard that expression before until I wound up with one of each myself.

A little spot of sunshine – Ottawa maternity photographer

These wonderful gals are expecting their first AND second child this summer.  I can’t wait to meet the twins…and lucky me, I get to bring my camera!  Anyways, this session was so much fun for me.  Okay, maybe a little TOO much.  I shot way more than I normally do, and had trouble narrowing them down in the end.  (I guess it serves me right.)  The light was beautiful, and I just love the freedom of being outside.  Everywhere I turned; there was a completely new setting.  Okay…eeny meeny miny moe… AND now here’s a few for you to see!  :)

One beautiful Mama – Ottawa maternity photographer

I had the pleasure of meeting with this little family last weekend.  I couldn’t believe she was 38 weeks along!  (I know I wished I looked that great at 38 weeks pregnant.)  And don’t forget their spunky little two year old; bright eyed and FULL of energy.  For some reason I kept calling the little one in her belly a ‘HE’, even though they don’t know what they are having yet.  We’ll have to wait and see if I’m right.  (Luckily it won’t be too long of a wait.)  I had a great time with you guys, and good luck with everything!!
