Expectant mommies are best photographed at around the 34th-38th week, before you start to feel “too-pregnant”.  You will have a nice round bump by this time depending on if you are on your first, second or even third baby.  And don’t forget to book your newborn session!!  New babies are best photographed within the first week.  They are so teeny and fresh at that point – you don’t want to miss it!  That is why is it best to reserve your spot while you are still pregnant.  Please contact me for more info:  I can’t wait to hear from you!! Open-mouthed smile

“We have added another munchkin to our brood and would love to have you capture the fleeting newborn stage and update our family photo.”  I couldn’t believe I was hearing this update from one of my favourite families!!  It’s amazing to compare this new little guy to his big brother and sister.  As baby was getting ready for his debut photo shoot his brother and sister kept me busy with stories of their Dad’s hockey career.  What was even funnier was the look Dad gave me….like the majority of that story may not be true.  Haha!  But they did keep me entertained while baby was snacking.  Even suggested I should photograph them wrestling; which I promptly did.  Haha!  What bundles of energy!!  And baby…well he just liked to be held – and eat – and then be held some more.  I think he has Mom and Dad wrapped around his little finger already.  As they should be.

Newborns tend to photograph best when they are brand new, therefore it is best to reserve your spot while you are still pregnant.  Now booking newborn, kids and family portraits sessions.  And please stay tuned to hear about our annual mini session dates coming up this Fall.  Any questions?  Give me a shout!  Talk soon!!

What a cold and stormy day it was to make the drive out to Richmond last week.  But well worth the trek.  This little guy was so alert for a wee 6 day old, I just couldn’t believe it.  I was told he sleeps ALL the time. But he woke up the minute I arrived to set up, and was awake until the moment I packed up to leave. Who could blame him though, so many new things to see! There’s one good thing about a wide awake baby; at least I got a chance to photograph those beautiful blue eyes!

He LOVED to be wrapped up warm. So this gave me the perfect opportunity to try out some of my new hats. Yes, I have been knitting trying to keep myself warm this winter. (It’s a work in progress.)  Winking smile
