Nothing is funnier than trying to get an active 2.5 year old to sit still for 2 seconds while I snap a photo. And that is what this session turned out to be. But you can get away with anything when you’re this cute. Seriously!

Another new family I got a chance to hang out with during my fall mini sessions. These boys were so adorable! Even though big brother wanted to use his “transformer smile”…I think I managed to convince him otherwise.

I was so happy to try out a day of mini sessions this fall. Well, having to be at the mercy of the weather was very stressful…and after having to reschedule, we ended up with a cool but beautiful day. It was fun to get together with old clients, and meet new ones – like these guys. They could have easily posed for a GAP commercial. Seriously. Even the little guy was pretty stylin’! And just check out those cheeks!! Nothing cuter than that!!

I was so happy to hear this family wanted to take advantage of my fall mini sessions this year. It had been a while since I had seen them. This little guy was about 4 months old when I met him last. He was cute then, and still amazingly adorable now! I don’t know that I’ve met a happier kid. Just look at his smiles!!
Although I did receive some sad news yesterday. They wanted to include their dog in the session (although at times it is NOT easy to work with animals). He was sick, and they wanted to make sure he made it into the family photo. Well, he passed away last week. But I’m sure glad we managed to capture some really nice photos with him. He looks to be smiling in most of them. 
He was such a beautiful dog. And very much a part of the family….he will be missed.

I don’t know if I feel like it was just this year, but the weather has been completely nuts! Warm one day, cold the next….oh, and don’t forget the RAIN on practically every single weekend!! But we lucked out on this particular day – it was beautiful and sunny! It can always get interesting when you add in a couple of dogs to the mix. But this family was so awesome, that we had a great time! I totally fell in love with the little guys big blue eyes. They were just sparkling in the sun!!

I don’t know of a better way to document your child’s milestones than with a photo session. And that’s what we did with this little guy. It had been a YEAR since my camera had seen him. I can’t believe how tiny he was…you can see that here. And now look at him – full of mischief!
So this was my very first attempt at a cake smash, so I wasn’t sure how everything would go. Man, it was soooo messy….but GREAT fun! I think I had as much fun as the birthday boy did! And his face was to die for!!

With this special you get a 30 minute outdoor session at a local Ottawa park (TBA), 1 digital image on CD to print Christmas cards/gifts, etc., approximately 10 images to view in an online gallery, and then 10% off your additional portraits!! Summer has happened and this means I’m getting a little behind in my blogging. I met up with this family back in June. Their sweet baby girl had the biggest dark eyes and cutest little smiles. I just fell in love with her! And well, boys will be boys of course. They were VERY interested in picking up all the bugs they could find. As I got them all together for a family photo I noticed both boys still had bugs in their hands. (One about to go around mom’s shoulder!) I quickly had to get that out of the way, as I’m sure mom would not appreciate the extra family member in her portrait. Aside from the bugs – it was an absolutely beautiful day, and I had an awesome time!

I was so happy to be asked to photograph this little munchkin. I had the pleasure of photographing his big sis as a newbie as well. And it was so much fun trying to pick out the similarities and differences between the two. I find he looks so much like Dad, while she looked very much like Mom. And they are BOTH extremely cute!! This was big sis way back when; and again a few months ago when we met for some pre Christmas maternity and family photos. I just love how laid back and comfortable Mom and Dad are in their parenting roles. It’s always a fun time to hang out while capturing these cuties.
