I absolutely LOVE photographing in my hometown of Brandon, Manitoba. I mean, I loooooove the Ottawa area…but there is just something different about the prairies. I love the endless fields and colours you can find. (If you couldn’t tell!)
So this is my best friend’s sister and her little family. She called me up a few days before our vacation was ending and asked if I would have time to take some family photos of them. I’m happy the weather cooperated – because we didn’t have much of a back up plan! We were taunted by a huge bird (hawk?) the entire time we were out there. (Angry Bird, perhaps?) But we survived and managed to capture some real cute photos. Absolutely LOVE those big blues!!

I absolutely LOVE the yellow of the canola fields in the prairies. Something you don’t see out in the Ottawa area, and kind of miss.
And then you throw a spunky little 1.5 year old girl into the mix…what the heck was I thinking?? She was seriously a blur for most of the shoot. And all we could do was was laugh. What a family!!
