So I looked it up…apparently the traditional 5th anniversary gift is wood. How appropriate to have your photos taken in the woods!!  We took a trip down to the lovely Mackenzie King Estate in Gatineau.  Although it was busy, (definitely a hot spot for weddings) – we found some amazing little spots to capture some fun photos to mark the occasion.  Seriously couldn’t have asked for a better day!  And at one point we managed to become one of the tourist attractions.  Everyone wanted to stop by to read their anniversary sign. Some came with marital advice. Haha! Winking smile

Looking through these bunch of photos, hard to believe I was photographing their engagement five whole years ago!!  And then the big day of course.  Time flies when you’re having fun!!

Still a few more weeks to get in those fall colours.   Please contact me for more info.  info@k-photo.ca

I was holding off on sharing this session from the summer, as Mr and Mrs “R” were off on vacation to celebrate their 35 wedding anniversary.  (Happy belated anniversary!)  But they’re back now, so here you go!

What a fun time this was!  These guys were crazy!!  (I enjoy anyone who loves to be in front of the camera.)  And being that this was my hubby’s family, I brought him along with me to “help”.  Secretly, I kind of liked asking him to do things, and then him actually doing them.  He was a GREAT help though, and you can tell by the beautiful images.  It’s all in the reflector, folks!  🙂

Celebrating 60 years together!  (I could only hope to be this in love after 60 years.)  This couples daughter (who was visiting for a few weeks) wanted to do something special for the occasion.  She wanted some nice black and white photos of the two of them together, and some with her too.  The weather was to be perfect, but when we got outside, I quickly realized it was a lot warmer than it was supposed to be!  We didn’t waste any time, and quickly started shooting away.  I even grabbed one of the couple walking to the next location…but I loved how they walked together – so sweet.  Happy anniversary, you two!!
