I have to admit, I was a tad scared to work with these girls. Mom and Dad were nervous because their newborn portrait session did not go very well with their first child. (I think at this point they were anticipating the worst…heehee.) And as I walked in the door, Mom mentions that her oldest daughter does not like having her photo taken, oh – and doesn’t like new people either! I was pretty sure that this would be an interesting day.
But seriously, I don’t know if this session could have gone ANY better. Big sister was smiling for the photos and LOVED holding her new baby sister. (That one is always a gamble when working with a toddler and a new baby.) How adorable are they?!?! And THEN, little miss newbie was a rockstar! Once she had a full belly, she was willing to snuggle up to anything. Which worked well for me. All in all, I’d give this family an A+!! ![]()
(I think they were worried for nothing!!
)
There are a few things that will make for a successful newborn session. Make sure you have a full baby. Keep the room nice and toasty warm. Have LOTS of patience. And go with the flow. If you’d like to talk about K Photo and Design photographing your new baby, please contact me while you are still pregnant. I look forward to hearing from you!! ![]()
