I thought it has been a while since I posted some cool ideas for what you can DO with those photos.  (In hopes that they are not spending their days in an envelope sitting in the back of a drawer.) Winking smile

A coffee table book is a GREAT idea when you have so many favourites you just can’t decide what to do with them.  Each book has 20 press-printed pages, hard cover with photo and is custom designed by me!  It’s fun to have a mix of colour and black & whites – even full page spreads!  The possibilities are endless!

The 7×7 coffee table book:

Or option to upgrade to the 8×10 size:

These books are also GREAT gift ideas!  For full pricing, please check out my website or feel free to contact me.  info@k-photo.ca

I was so excited to be asked to photograph this family’s new little bundle of joy.  I have been able to watch their clan grow from a couple, to a family of three, and now four over the last few years.  This was them just a few months back at their maternity session.  And their daughter before her first birthday last year.  Oh my how she has grown!!

And now to introduce the newest addition.  I found she looked a lot like her big sister as a new baby, but her colouring was definitely a little different.  It’s so neat to compare their features and figure out where they came from.  Regardless, she was definitely a little sweetheart.  And here she is!!  Smile

I prefer to photograph newborn babies when they are brand new, between 3 and 10 days.  Therefore if you would like to set something up, it’s best to reserve your spot while you are still pregnant.  I look forward to hearing from you!!

This little family has grown another 2 feet.  After having two girls, I can imagine what a surprise it was to find out they were having a baby BOY!  Even though Mom said she didn’t know what to do with a little boy, I think it all comes naturally.  The girls completely adore their baby brother, and were so eager to help me take photos of him.  He was so adorable…I just wanna show him off!!  Smile

I think it is so important to meet up with my clients before we actually sit down for a portrait session.  We are able to not only go over ideas, but I am able to find out what they do NOT want.  This gals mama was quite certain she did not like the look of the umbilical cord stump.  So either we needed to wait until it fell off, or I would need to do some sort of digital magic.  I opted to just wait a few days in hopes her belly button would be photo-ready.  Not only did it fall off, but isn’t it the most perfect belly button you’ve ever seen?  (FYI: She smelled really good too!!)  Winking smile

I had a great time meeting up with this couple – now a little family of three.  It feels like it wasn’t too long ago that I was photographing mama’s perfectly round belly.  And a few weeks ago it was this perfect little baby.

I seriously don’t now how they can fit so much cuteness into such a little package!  It’s amazing.  This little gal was one of the sweetest little things I’ve had the pleasure of photographing.  She was so relaxed and easy going as long as we did what she wanted to do.  And if you hadn’t guessed, she already has Mom and Dad wrapped around her little finger.  (I can’t blame them though, I’d do anything for that sweet little face!)  I had some real difficulties picking a few favourites…but this is what I came up with.  Isn’t she just the cutest?!?!  Open-mouthed smile

I know we’re almost halfway through the year (if you can believe it!), but I wanted to share a new package that was introduced back in January.  It has quickly become one of my more popular items, especially for new parents.  I’m talking about Digital Packages.  I currently have two packages available to suit your needs.

Each package includes:

  • High resolution images on a CD for printing
  • Low resolution images on a CD for online sharing
  • Professionally printed 5×7 of each image chosen
  • Custom CD case to hold everything together

I’m very much a name gal.  I LOVE to hear what name a new parent has chosen to give their newborn baby.  And this little guy landed the CUTEST name!  Okay, I totally gave it away…but meet little Romeo.  (Totally love it!)  They were not expecting this little guy to arrive quite so early.  Poor mom didn’t get a chance to finish up work and have some time to herself as planned.  Instead she’s got quite the houseful with little Romeo and his active big sister.  (Which by the way, was the sweetest little thing ever!)  I was so happy to have a little boy to photograph; it seems as if lately there’s been an abundance of girls.  Not that I don’t have so much fun with girls!  But I had just made a new prop (a little boys necktie), that I definitely needed the perfect little boy to test it out for me.  I think Romeo did an EXCELLENT job!  Okay, here’s a few I’d like to show off.  Smile

I was unsure if it was possible for a baby to have luscious lips.  Then I met miss Lea.  And I DARE you to disagree with me!  She was one of the bigger babies that I’ve seen lately.  This tubby little 9 pounder was big trou-ble!  With way too much excitement going on, she did NOT want to miss a thing!  She’s already got mom, dad and grandparents wrapped around her little finger.  I can just imagine as she gets older!  Okay, I’m just going to show her off and all her chubby cuteness!  Smile

Mom was fully prepared to have an Easter baby.  Complete with cute bunny hat (made by Christine’s Creations).  But little Logan had other ideas.  He thought it would be more fun to arrive a few weeks early.  We didn’t mind though, he was the perfect little gentleman.  A photographer’s dream actually.  Besides a mild case of the hiccups, this boy was awesome!

And now for this first image, I really don’t know what he’s doing.  I may be in the middle of a yawn, getting ready to yell, or is actually giving us the biggest smile you’ve ever seen.  Perhaps he’s just happy to be escaping that swaddle!  Whatever it is….it’s super cute!!  Open-mouthed smile

There are always so many cute girly accessories available to add to baby girl photographs, so I’m always on the lookout for something boyish.  When I came across this little skull and cross bone wrap, I could not resist!

I’ve been getting behind in my blog posts; but for good reason.  There seems to have been a HUGE baby boom over the last few weeks, and I am finally catching my breath.

This sweet little gal was a teeny weeny 6 pounder.  She had a bit of a rough start, but mom and dad were thrilled to have her home with them.  I just love that ‘baby love’ parents have in their eyes when they talk about their new babies.  I’m sure it’s part sleep deprivation, part exhaustion, but it’s all love.  Now introducing sweet little Leah.
