I have come to realize you can never predict how your children will act in any certain situation. I certainly have realized that my kids will surprise me day in and day out.\u00a0 So when this new mom contacted me to photograph her baby girl she was quite concerned when I told her that for some of the poses we would attempt, it\u2019s best if baby was sleeping. She informs me that her child doesn\u2019t sleep.\u00a0 Haha! And I\u2019m sure that\u2019s how ALL new moms feel.\u00a0 Seriously! Anyways, I have learned to just go with the flow.\u00a0 If baby was awake\u2026we just go from there.\u00a0 So I show up and she\u2019s JUST fallen asleep.\u00a0 I set up and get straight to work\u2026not wanting to waste any precious time.\u00a0 WELL! I swear this has only happened ONCE in the 5 years I have been doing this.\u00a0 That sweet little girl slept from the minute I arrived until well after I left.\u00a0 At one point we actually TRIED to wake her up because we thought this was getting ridiculous!\u00a0 Haha! But nope\u2026she did NOT wish to show us her (I\u2019m assuming) beautiful eyes.\u00a0 \"Sleepy<\/p>\n

I just love this mama and baby photo!\u00a0 So special to capture that journey into parenthood. \"Red<\/p>\n

By the way\u2026I am SUCH a name girl.\u00a0 I love hearing new names parents are giving their children and recycled old ones.\u00a0 The stories behind their choices and all that fun stuff.\u00a0 Anyways, I just fell in love with her name Ella.\u00a0 And it suits her so well! \"Smile\"<\/p>\n

I am now booking portrait sessions into the Spring\u2026and hoping for some nice weather to go with it!! But there is still time to do outdoor winter family portraits.\u00a0 When we get a break from this cold snap!!\u00a0 Please contact me for more details.<\/p>\n
