<\/p>\nThere are so many things I love about this time of year.\u00a0 Once the gifts are bought\/made and under the tree, I feel as though the stress is gone and I can just enjoy.\u00a0 Well, aside from the guests, cooking and keeping everyone happy and healthy.\u00a0 Then the holiday is completely stress-free! <\/p>\n
Just for fun, I thought I\u2019d share a few of my favourite things that I love about the holidays.\u00a0 So here we go!<\/p>\n
1.\u00a0 I LOVE sitting in the dark beside the glow of the Christmas tree.\u00a0 There are a few special ornaments and decorations that make me smile each year they come out.\u00a0 I love my fat Santa!\u00a0 My hubby bought him for me the first year we were married.\u00a0 And he his just the cutest! (Santa\u2019s not bad either\u2026haha!)\u00a0 And then there\u2019s my little cardboard Santa troop.\u00a0 My first Christmas after I moved from home I didn\u2019t have very many decorations to put on my tree.\u00a0 So co-worker had given them to me.\u00a0 They still make me smile.\u00a0 Even more so now that the kids have taken to placing them ALL ON THE SAME TREE BRANCH!\u00a0 They know how much that bugs me.\u00a0 (I\u2019m a bit of a Monica Geller when it comes to my tree decorating!)\u00a0 But this year I have just decided to\u2026.let it go.\u00a0 Haha!\u00a0 (But I did turn that side of the tree to the back so I don\u2019t have to see that branch every day.)<\/p>\n
2.\u00a0 And when it comes to decorating\u2026.I like to spice up EVERY room.\u00a0 And what a better excuse to decorate your bathroom??\u00a0 My toilet paper tree is a big conversation piece whenever my sons friends are over.\u00a0 I swear they think his mother is nuts! 3.\u00a0 And if it looks like Christmas\u2026it might as well smell like it too!!\u00a0 I admit, I can get lost in Bath and Bodyworks for a good hour or so smelling all the various scents in there.\u00a0 But I was so happy with their holiday selection this year.\u00a0 This is one of my favourites.\u00a0 And while I think I\u2019m a relatively decent cook; and I CAN bake.\u00a0 When it comes to Christmas baking\u2026I am just no good at it.\u00a0 I don\u2019t know if it is the added pressure or what.\u00a0 But I currently have about a 5% success rate at ANY recipe.\u00a0 So now my house SMELLS like baking!\u00a0 And all I have to do is wash my hands.<\/p>\n 4.\u00a0 And if it LOOKS like Christmas, SMELLS like Christmas\u2026it must SOUND like Christmas.\u00a0 These are a few of my favourite Christmas albums this year.\u00a0 As well as a multitude of OTHER songs of course.\u00a0 I usually have a playlist going on the computer of all my favourites.\u00a0 I have found that I seem to really like the song \u201cLittle Drummer Boy\u201d.\u00a0 It makes me laugh when my shuffle lines them all up and I have various artists singing the SAME SONG over and over.\u00a0 Haha!<\/p>\n 5.\u00a0 I am so happy to have a flexible schedule for this alone.\u00a0 I LOVE to participate in the school\u2019s craft days!\u00a0 The little ones made Christmas ornaments and the bigger guys made gingerbread houses.\u00a0 It\u2019s so neat to see all the kids creativity go wild.<\/p>\n 6.\u00a0 CAUGHT YA!\u00a0 Even kitties get excited about Christmas!\u00a0 I swear they think I put this stuff out just for them.\u00a0 So many new toys to play with when they think no one is watching.\u00a0 If she could read, she\u2019d know that present is NOT for her.\u00a0 Haha!<\/p>\n![\"Santa\"](\"http:\/\/www.k-photo.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/Santa.jpg\" "\\"Santa\\"")
