After scheduling, rescheduling and and then rescheduling again…I was beginning to think I wasn’t going to see these guys this year.  But it all worked out in the end.  And seriously – what a BEAUTIFUL day!  Not even a mouse could ruin this day.  And if you know me, I’m not a big FAN of little critters like that.  I can’t believe how big this little guy has gotten since the last time I saw him.  And big sis, as charming as ever.  Haha!  I just love that gal!! Mom and Dad are alright too.  Haha!  I always seem to have a good time with this bunch.  And just look at the smiles!! Open-mouthed smile

Christmas deadlines of 2015 are fast approaching.  Still time to get in a quick session or order gifts from a previous one.  Gift certificates are available in any denomination, and always fun to give!  Smile

Apparently girls are the way to go for this family.  I guess you can’t have too much of a good thing!  Poor dad, when those teenage years roll around though. Haha!  I have absolutely enjoyed spending time with this family since big sis was just a week old.  And managed to squeeze in a little visit a few months after baby #2 arrived.  Those girls are so cute and funny.  Making my job pretty darn easy.  I mean…who can resist all those blonde curls??  Wonder if lil’ sis will be the same?  Only time will tell. Winking smile

A bit of a personal post today.  But this fall my gal made the decision that she wanted to chop off her hair and donate it to make wigs for cancer patients. I think she was a bit tired of me combing through the knots…haha!  But still, a pretty good deed I thought.  When she came to me with this idea; I told her to sleep on it.  She’d been growing that mop for a while now; and it would definitely take a while for it to grow back.  I needed to make sure she had thought this all through.  But every day she came to me “Mom, did you make the appointment yet?”  (I think it was ME that was having more of a problem with this plan than she was.  She had her mind made up!)  So I made the appointment.  We went to The Hair Bar in Kanata.  They were AMAZING!  My daughter said she felt like a movie star.  Haha!  (She could definitely get used to being pampered.)  So off it went – all 13 inches of it!  And somehow she came out looking about 5 years older!!  I did NOT sign up for that!  Haha!   She did love her new haircut.  And today, loves it the same.  Her ponytail was sent off to Pantene Beautiful Lengths.  Super easy to do.  (We just received a letter of thanks yesterday.)  The Canadian Cancer Society will then in turn give these real hair wigs out to women going through cancer treatments that would otherwise not be able to afford something like that.

My gal was very proud to have made a contribution.  But has been on the lookout to see if she can see anyone that might be wearing her hair. Winking smile

I am so lucky to see some families again and again. Even more exciting when baby number 3 is involved! So much fun hanging out with this crew. They always keep me on my toes!!  Crazy to think I’ve photographed this family since big sis was 10 days old.  And even how much big bro had changed too.  I definitely had a hard time picking favourites of this session.  But this is what I have to share with you today. Aren’t they adorable?? Smile

Unless there is the promise of cake. Then I may reconsider. Haha!  But I was very excited to be asked to share in this couple’s special day.  A very small outdoor ceremony was planned to be held at a friends house.  The plans did NOT include the rain…but they made it work.  All the guests grabbed an umbrella and a dry seat cushion on their way out the door.  And we managed to get these two married…in the midst of all the rain.  It’s good luck though, right?  Winking smile

In our initial planning meeting, these guys told me they didn’t want anything “weird”.  Haha!  I laugh now as I see these dinosaur photos.  The little ring bearer requested that we go see the dinosaurs before we did any more photos.  Negotiations were in place.

Manitoba…always great to make a trip back home.  Even better when you are left with FABULOUS weather (most days). And so happy to have an excuse to go and hang out in one of the local canola fields.  These guys were insanely fun!!  The boys made me laugh so much.  And I was introduced to a new photo pose – the “Beanie Boo eyes”.  Haha!  Those two!! At one point the boys were hugging mom, holding her hand, or hanging off of her in some way.  It was a HOT, and humid evening.  And I think mom was done with that whole idea.

After much waiting….a new baby SISTER arrived!! And what a little sweetheart too!!  I was amazed at how much she looked just like her big sister as a newbie.  Like…identical!  (Crazy, right??)  I admired mom…able to make a grocery list, help her big girl with a puzzle, and feed a new baby all at once.  It’s all in the job, I suppose!  Luckily I was able to snag the wee little one to get my baby fix in.  Why do they always smell SO GOOD??  Haha!  Smile

Being in Ottawa – one of my FAVOURITE events is the Tulip Festival.  I just love to see the seas of colours and different varieties from year to year.  This year I was surprised to find so many pretty two-toned flowers.  And because it was a nice day, I think EVERYONE decided to visit the festival the same time we did.  I have never SEEN it so busy!!  But regardless, we had a good time.  The kids loved looking at the paintings.  Which I feel like that might be new.  I don’t know that I’ve seen them before.  Smile

Everyone always thinks as a photographer, you must take such BEAUTIFUL photos of your kids all the time.  Well, this is my gal’s “portrait face”.
