So fun to see a family year after year…and in this case, every second year. Haha!  A lot has changed since 2014!  (And definitely since 2012!!)  This little guy, still full of energy – but the stories he can tell.  What a funny guy!!  We picked the perfect day for photos though.  After a cold spell, it was nice that it had warmed up a bit.  We walked around for a few different locations at the Arboretum.  But when I told this little guy we were going to go on an adventure through the forest – you should have seen his eyes sparkle!  He started in on this story about his favourite show, Ranger Rob.  We hiked up this little trail, and he was as happy as anything guiding us along.  Such a fun bunch!! It’s incredible how big these kids are getting!! They have changed so much in only a year.  You can start to see their little goofy personalities more and more.  I laughed so hard when they were fighting over what they wanted to sit on.  Of course, they chose the SAME seat.  So the little girl distracts her brother with something, and then takes her spot on the box that she wanted all along.  Haha!  She knows how this sibling thing works. Every year I attempt to take the kids out for some fall photos so we can send them off in our Christmas cards, for gifts and all that fun stuff.  And every year it gets a little more difficult. Unfortunately they usually get left to the last minute when it’s cold, and there are no coloured leaves.  But that’s the way it is.  I was happy with this years bunch though.  But for anyone that thinks that photographers must have a ridiculous amount of awesome photos of their kids….think again.  These outtakes speak for themselves. And yes, I asked her to push her glasses up – that’s what I got.

So happy to catch up with these guys again. The kids are getting SO BIG!! Time flies so quickly; it’s not even funny.  So the kids definitely gave us a run for the money.  Because of all the rainy days this fall, this was the first time they had been outside in a few days.  They thought they’d take advantage of this and ran and ran and ran.  Until we finally caught up with them and had them sit for two seconds.  And then they were off again!  I don’t blame them – it was such a beautiful day!!

A bit of bad weather was not going to stop this little guy from his day of baptism.  This is my SECOND time meeting up with this family. Just last year big sis had her day.  Now she is being very helpful in getting her brother ready to go.  And what a big help she was!  Shoes stayed on!!  A few quick photos and off to the church to meet up with family and friends for the ceremony.  I loved seeing all the familiar faces – and some new ones as well!  And this cutie…SO good throughout the whole thing.  He just wanted to touch EVERYTHING!!  All I have to say is thank goodness for fake candles!  Smile

So I looked it up…apparently the traditional 5th anniversary gift is wood. How appropriate to have your photos taken in the woods!!  We took a trip down to the lovely Mackenzie King Estate in Gatineau.  Although it was busy, (definitely a hot spot for weddings) – we found some amazing little spots to capture some fun photos to mark the occasion.  Seriously couldn’t have asked for a better day!  And at one point we managed to become one of the tourist attractions.  Everyone wanted to stop by to read their anniversary sign. Some came with marital advice. Haha! Winking smile

This bunch was in the midst of selling their family home…and BEAU-TI-FUL yard.  (Seriously….AMAZING!!!)  But before they could let it go, they asked me to capture some family photos at their favourite place.  Home.  The girls got really into it when I let them have free run of the place and told them to find their favourite spots to photograph.  The swing, the big rock, the favourite tree, the flower bed and trampoline were the highlights.  So happy to be asked to capture these special moments.  Wishing you all the best in your new home!! There’s nothing better than hanging out with a new baby.  This little guy was no exception.  Although, he was NOT all that interested in sleeping.  He was WAY too interested in what was happening around him.  And who could could blame him? I think all images with his eyes closed were caught during a blink.  Haha!  That is my secret.   Smile

Last month we said goodbye to our dear old kitty.  I must admit, the house seems a little empty without her.  I could always count on her to lay in front of the kitchen cupboards when I was trying to put the dishes away.  She would not get up for anything!! (Well…except treats).  I would slide her across the floor with my foot….and then slide her back to her preferred spot when I was finished.  She was also the only cat I ever knew to purr when we were petting our other cat.  Haha!  She was special…that’s for sure!  Anyways…I have a few photos to share.
