I am one that is always interested in a baby’s name.  I think it says so much about the parents and their OWN personalities.  I just have to say that I LOVE the name chosen for this baby girl!  Meet sweet little Pippa.  Born into a house full of boys, she is going to have some interesting days ahead of her.  Her big brothers are totally in love, and mom is just happy to have some pink in her house for a change!  Here she is!!

While mom was not sure about having maternity photos done, she decided to go for it – as they figure their baby girl will have completed their family now.  And I totally agree that it is such a special time, that it’s a must to have a little keepsake.  If you’d like to take a peek at their maternity session, you can see it here.

And as important I believe it is to catch those belly photos, I also think it is so important to capture those first baby moments as those babies just grow up too fast!!  Newborns typically photograph best before they are 10 days old.  So if you would like to reserve a spot, please contact me while you are still pregnant.  Smile

This family was so excited to meet their little boy, as you can see in their maternity photos.  And he FINALLY arrived!  I couldn’t believe how alert and calm he was.  I have never seen a new baby so happy to just look around at everything.  He was awake for almost an hour and a half straight, and so happy!  I was glad to be able to capture those big blue eyes; and oh his expressions were funny!

I don’t think you can even IMAGINE how excited I was to be contacted by this family to photograph their new baby boy.  They had been through so much to get this little guy here.  (One of those true miracle kinda stories.)  So I was honoured to be chosen to capture those first few weeks.  He was probably the oldest newborn I have worked with at mere 15 days old.  But technically he wasn’t due to be born until the end of September anyways.  A wee little peanut though, and OH SO ADORABLE!  Winking smile  I could have played with him all day (if he would have quit making messes on Dad!)

And I LOVE being right!  Winking smile  It’s not very often these days that parents willingly choose not to find out the sex of their baby.  With modern technology, there’s no reason to wait those 9 months to find out if you are painting the nursery walls pink or blue.  But these guys decided to wait it out the old fashioned way.  They apparently had no thought either way whether it was a boy or girl.  But I had such a STRONG feeling she was carrying a little girl.  And I was right – a little princess was born!

And what a little princess she was.  I could tell that she already has Daddy wrapped around her little finger.  (Except when we WANTED her to wrap her finger around her Daddy’s, then she chose NOT to.)  What a little personality – and she was only 8 days old!

You can see their maternity photos here.  And now introducing the little princess.  Isn’t she adorable??

I was so excited to be asked to photograph this family’s new little bundle of joy.  I have been able to watch their clan grow from a couple, to a family of three, and now four over the last few years.  This was them just a few months back at their maternity session.  And their daughter before her first birthday last year.  Oh my how she has grown!!

And now to introduce the newest addition.  I found she looked a lot like her big sister as a new baby, but her colouring was definitely a little different.  It’s so neat to compare their features and figure out where they came from.  Regardless, she was definitely a little sweetheart.  And here she is!!  Smile

This little family has grown another 2 feet.  After having two girls, I can imagine what a surprise it was to find out they were having a baby BOY!  Even though Mom said she didn’t know what to do with a little boy, I think it all comes naturally.  The girls completely adore their baby brother, and were so eager to help me take photos of him.  He was so adorable…I just wanna show him off!!  Smile

I think it is so important to meet up with my clients before we actually sit down for a portrait session.  We are able to not only go over ideas, but I am able to find out what they do NOT want.  This gals mama was quite certain she did not like the look of the umbilical cord stump.  So either we needed to wait until it fell off, or I would need to do some sort of digital magic.  I opted to just wait a few days in hopes her belly button would be photo-ready.  Not only did it fall off, but isn’t it the most perfect belly button you’ve ever seen?  (FYI: She smelled really good too!!)  Winking smile

I had a great time meeting up with this couple – now a little family of three.  It feels like it wasn’t too long ago that I was photographing mama’s perfectly round belly.  And a few weeks ago it was this perfect little baby.

I seriously don’t now how they can fit so much cuteness into such a little package!  It’s amazing.  This little gal was one of the sweetest little things I’ve had the pleasure of photographing.  She was so relaxed and easy going as long as we did what she wanted to do.  And if you hadn’t guessed, she already has Mom and Dad wrapped around her little finger.  (I can’t blame them though, I’d do anything for that sweet little face!)  I had some real difficulties picking a few favourites…but this is what I came up with.  Isn’t she just the cutest?!?!  Open-mouthed smile

I’m very much a name gal.  I LOVE to hear what name a new parent has chosen to give their newborn baby.  And this little guy landed the CUTEST name!  Okay, I totally gave it away…but meet little Romeo.  (Totally love it!)  They were not expecting this little guy to arrive quite so early.  Poor mom didn’t get a chance to finish up work and have some time to herself as planned.  Instead she’s got quite the houseful with little Romeo and his active big sister.  (Which by the way, was the sweetest little thing ever!)  I was so happy to have a little boy to photograph; it seems as if lately there’s been an abundance of girls.  Not that I don’t have so much fun with girls!  But I had just made a new prop (a little boys necktie), that I definitely needed the perfect little boy to test it out for me.  I think Romeo did an EXCELLENT job!  Okay, here’s a few I’d like to show off.  Smile
